Good race, mainly between a couple of smart mares. The prices just have us leaning the way of CLEO CAT (10) who has won 7 from 8, far too good in the G3 Proud Miss at Morphettville last time out. She can continue to progress and will be rock hard fit. NIANCE (7) is ripper with 6 wins from 10 starts. Her form in two wins here last preparation is excellent, beating She's Bulletproof in the G3 How Now before a spell. That mare then ran second to Jimmysstar in a G1 Oakleigh Plate! She had a paddock injury that forced her to miss the Autumn but has trialled very nicely and could well prove too classy. Not knocking RECOMMENDATION (1) who comes back from an ambitious attempt at the G1 Hong Kong Sprint behind the world's best, Ka Ying Rising. His Caulfield form is excellent. WATCHME WIN (9) is much better placed here off a solid effort in the G1 Goodwood last time out.
