ORIENTAL SMOKE (6) has been put on the speed his past couple and has improved sharply, beaten just 1.8L last time out at this track and trip. He hasn't won for a while, though he draws a much better gate today. Should be prominent in the run and can end his winning drought. LUCKY FIONN (8) got the job done as the $1.60 favourite last time out when back to 1400m. He was strong late there and steps up to the mile once again. Atzeni rides this time and he draws a good gate for his second attempt at the mile. Can repeat the dose. MISTER DAPPER (10) ran on well to win last time out by 1.8L as favourite, beating home ORIENTAL SMOKE on that occasion. Form out of that race has been solid and he can bring up back-to-back wins without surprising. FIGHT TIME (14) was good last start as a $20 chance and he can be thereabouts if he runs up to his latest effort.
