He cops a second row draw but owns a good record at this distance. Class will carry him a long way. REPUBLICAN PARTY (8) had this same wide draw when fourth here last start, his first NZ outing since back-to-back placings at Melton including a narrow third in the Hunter Cup behind superstars Swayzee and Leap To Fame. A repeat of that performance would see him hard to stop. MO'UNGA (9) draws for a trail and has won second-up before so look for an improved showing. CHASE A DREAM (1) gets the ace draw and goes well second-up with two wins a placing from three attempts. Must respect.
