Cracking 2YO race to kick things off. BURMA STAR (1) failed to live up to market expectations when sent out as favourite first-up in the G3 Canonbury but never stopped trying in the lane. Is sure to have come on with that run under his belt and gets the blinkers on for the first time. Wide alley to contest but looks above average and is worth following up. CONGRESSMAN (2) is a Sntizel colt from Top Cuban on debut for Chris Waller. Hails from a handy family and impressed in his recent Rosehill trial, finding the frame under little urgency from McDonald. Draws well and can make a bright start. KING OF POP (3) is a Farnan colt on debut out of useful mare Za Zi Ba for the Ryan & Alexiou partnership. Has shown good ability in his lead-up work and is expected to be well-supported. Can make the perfect start. Fellow debutants ROSIE ROUGE (10) and SEA ADMIRAL (6) have also shown enough at the trials to suggest they can feature. Expecting the former to hunt across and lead them.
