BOY (1) has needed time to mature, and is heading in the right direction with his form this season, finishing quickly for third over 2000m here nearly a fortnight ago. Dropping back to a mile is a query, but if the tempo is genuine, then he can have the last say here. ALLIANCE (2) led up and battled on bravely for fourth when making his debut in May, his only run to date, and he will be a lot stronger this season. He was close up in a recent trial, and will have the services of Craig Grylls in the saddle fresh up. Follow any market confidence. BRAVE REBEL (6) is trained here and will be peaking third up from a spell. A wet track won't bother him, and he has each-way claims. PURE BARS (3) has been disappointing in a couple of starts this season, but a form reversal can be expected on a heavy track here. Don't risk him. LATER BOY (8) won't lack fitness, and is worth including in all top 4 combos.
