BOY (1) probably should have won a race by now, but to date, he has lacked strength where it matters most. He handles any track conditions and would have attended the local jumpouts that this track hosts. He has the pole position and can get the job done over a mile fresh up. BLACK SEA (2) struggled on a track that was far too testing at Hawera, fresh up just over a month ago. He is better than that, so stick with him. SHAMWARI (3) won a trial prior to finishing fifth fresh up at Matamata just over a month ago. He has a good gate and will be a sharp improver. Each way. DEL INQUENT (4) tried hard fresh up at Te Aroha, and only came to the end of his run late, finishing fourth. His trainer has a good record when trekking his team to his track, and he is good enough to win this.
