Just 11 for the G1 Toorak Handicap but it's competitive and well-handicapped- anything can win without surprising in our eyes. That said, we're siding with the mares. LAZZURA (7) was backed off the map to win the G2 Lets Elope Stakes at Flemington last time, tracking the speed and doing enough late to hold on. She was all out late there but should be fitter again and she can improve. LEICA LUCY (9) was the eyecatcher in that race, charging into fourth late and now meeting LAZZURA 2.5kg better off at the weights. She'll relish 1600m but does likely concede a start again. No knocks at all on SEPALS (5) who rode a very fast speed to win the G1 Sir Rupert Clarke last time out. Up in the weights now but 1600m is fine and he draws for every chance. There's little between EVAPORATE (3) and TRANSATLANTIC (6) from their last start clash, EVAPORATE gets the edge given he worked early and held on.
