Time to get Moody

Promising filly Alpha Sofie is joining the Peter Moody – Katherine Coleman stable with a group of three-year-old fillies set to kick start the stable throughout the spring.
“Unfortunately, we are a bit light on for top quality at the moment but hopefully Ole Dancer and Vivid Sun can be the flag bearers, they look a couple of really nice fillies.” Peter Moody said.
Ole Dancer won the Magic Millions SA 2YO Classic on debut at Murray Bridge before producing a strong win at Caulfield.
Vivid Sun, who is raced by Wylie Dalziel, has had one career start, which saw her produce a 2.25 length win at Ballarat in April.
Moody has not laid eyes on Alpha Sofie yet and will wait to do so before commenting on a campaign path.
After running fourth on debut at the Sunshine Coast, Alpha Sofie has won her past two starts at Eagle Farm.
Moody has thrown in an early Caulfield Cup and Cox Plate nomination for Desert Lightning, but he concedes those targets are ambitious.

“While we do intend on stretching him out in trip this campaign and having a look at him over a mile and quarter, those races would have to fall away for him to measure up.” Moody said.
Unfortunately, another promising three-year-old filly Conscience has gone to the paddock for a spell.
She won stylishly on debut at Sandown before finishing unplaced on July 30.
