TAURANGA ASSESSMENTS – 21ST JUNE 2025
Weather: Fine. Westerlies, turning southerly before dawn.
Track Conditions: Heavy 10 (Fri am) – Rail +5m.
Track Pattern: The last meeting on 28/5 was four races deep before being abandoned. That day the rail was true on very testing ground, showing a clear off-fence advantage, with lanes 6+ on the turn and in the straight proving best. Off-pace runners dominated. I'm cautious of a repeat with dry weather this week and the rail out 5m which makes it hard to mark anything with a positive or negative on their map profile.
