Solid day of racing ahead of us, with 15 lower graded races. Some nice maidens going around in the earlier races.
Here are some races to have a potential play at.
Race 1 - The fav, Anglers Arms has been good thus far through a short career and gets another bonus run in the maiden grade. However, today's draw has the potential to be niggly and he is slightly vulnerable. The 3 Opawa Toby brings strength and looks to get a clean map on paper and therefore is some each-way value.
Race 2 - Mitcham Zara has been knocking on the door for maiden success and she won't get a better opportunity than today. Comes into her first inside draw is the only small question mark, however she should be too good. Dogs 4 & 8 look the dangers and are nice Same Race Multi options.
Race 3 - Best of the day for me in Sideline Sam. Impressive winning first up earlier in the week and gains a bonus run in maidens. Should be winning this. TellTale Tommy & Go Jasper should be making up the trifecta in behind him.
Race 4 - Sideline Sasha was a nice trial winner at Ascot Park before a handy debut in a stronger field. Looks the one to beat here. The debutante, Puketa Fire, had excuses in her qually and can debut well. Curlys Doll is a greyhound that will break maidens very soon.
We will skip a few and move to Race 7 Where the 3 Zanab Bale steps up to C2 off the back of an impressive win Monday. not a massive leap though and with a similar effort she should go close. Impressive Love finds a downgrade and is the biggest danger.
And now onto the last race of the day. Race 5 on the Extra meeting. Dog 2 Wonderful Chaos comes up with a beautiful map and in her last 2 starts she has begun cleaner than usual. If she ca begin well again she can be in this for a long way. Homebush Jelly is extremely enigmatic and hard to catch on the right day, but she downgrades here and gets a superb opportunity to find form again. Whilst Tappy is a dog racing consistently well without crossing in front often.
All in all, a good day of racing with a few shorties that look hard to beat, and some money to be made!
